Holiday decorating: slowly but surely...

Halloween is my favorite holiday and yet I've got little decorations for it. With the help of family and my obsession with making things lately, this is a good start.

What you need:

Pinwheels - scrapbook paper

Letters - felt and wavy ribon

Ghosts - white fabric, thread, cotton balls, and left over felt scraps for faces

Tombstones - scrapbook paper

Bats - scrapbook paper

Candy ties - fabric strips

Scissors and fabric scissors

What you need:
Backing - neutral fabric
Heart - pelon iron-on adhesive and decorative fabric
Thread
Picture frame (I used an 8x10)

homemade glass magnets & magnet board

Inspiration: I wanted to go buy cute magnets like these cause I'd seen them but Kerstin decided we could make them ourselves :)

What you need:
Magnets:
Strong magnets
Hot glue
Modge podge
Scrapbook paper
Glass rounds pieces (medium or large)

*I got all of these at Hobby Lobby except the magnets - theirs aren't strong enough - try Walmart for magnets.

Board:
Magnetic metal piece
Picture frame

*I got a magnetic metal dry/erase board from target and took it apart and cut it down to fit inside this frame I bought at Hobby Lobby. Frames from Hobby Lobby are often 1/2 off or you can try D.I. for really cheap ones but you may have to paint them the color you want.
